Evaluation - Degraded Image on Video Output

I'm still evaluating VideoPad to determine if it is worthy of keeping around. Up until now most of the testing has been okay, but that was just using preexisting image to create a new video file. Never had anything to compare it against.

However, I just created a Video from MS PowerPoint 2010 and the image quality is really great. It is in 16 x 9 format with a resolution of 1360 x 768 and recorded in HD 720p saved in .WMV

Once the video was created all I wanted to do was delete a few long pauses from the video stream.

I went to Save Movie and told it to auto detect the video settings which choose:

1280 x 720 - HD 720p and a custom frame rate of 30.303.

I tried it several times make different changes to the output, but every time the output video had serious degradation over the original video.

Unless, someone can help me create a video that is equal to the input video, I am going to have to consider NCH VideoPad a subpar product and advise my clients to avoid it.

Thank you,
