my vocals are recording at a higher pitch please help

the pitch is too high when i record my voice. im using v 3.05 on windows 7 with a eye 312 webcam mic. the levels are good but the pitch is too high, i havenet paid for the software is that the issue? the webcam does not alter recording pitch on other programs.
