Static Image (slideshow) resolution

I recently purchased the PhotoStage Slideshow Producer Professional app. My question is, when adding images to for creating a slideshow video, what is the recommended import size of the image;, i.e., 640X480 or? What I'm noticing, especially when viewing a slideshow in full screen mode, some of the images are pixelated. In other cases when I use the Zoom in feature, this also is pixelated (which makes sense). But, not when viewing a HD version of a slideshow in Full screen mode.

 

Any help would be appreciated.
