Guest Ken Nielsen
I have tried to start a new document, I'm a new user, and it does not have 'save' under the file menu so I assume your work is saved when you close the program. Can you close the file you are working on and work on another. Second problem, I tried to make changes on copy I had already typed in and all my work deleted and I could not recover it. I tried command-Z the usual command to undo a change but my work was lost. Can you help me start again and know how to be more careful that I will not lose my work the next time? TIA, Ken
Guest Ken Nielsen
I hope someone comes along to answer this. I feel my work is very tenable as I am working on thin ice and everything may be lost if I do the wrong thing. Not being able to know how to save what I am working on is most worrisome to me. If I could only learn how to open an old document or file I am working on and then close it and be sure it is saved I would be so happy. As it is now, I am using the device as a convenient way to play, stop and resume a file I am transcribing and using Adobe InDesign, a publishing program I know and trust to type in as I listen to the audio file play.
