sunetjensen Posted October 21, 2009 Share Posted October 21, 2009 Hi I've just installed Express Scribe on linux with the native linux exe, and everything looks nice, despite one major issue. I am running opensuse 11.1 and I am using fileformat mp3. Every time I push the play button the time forwards with around 40 seconds: e.g. if I stop the playback with time showing e.g. 0:01:00.0 then, when I push play again, the time forwards to 0:01:43.0 and starts playing from there. This should not have anything to do with the "Auto backstep on stop" as this is set to 0 and the forward happens when pushing Play and not Stop. Giltaran Posted November 16, 2009 Share Posted November 16, 2009 Same thing here, exactly. Using IN-USB-2 pedal with linux mint (Ubuntu variant), gnome desktop. Seems to happen no matter what kind of sound file I have loaded into Express scribe - .mp3, .wav, same issue. Backspace does work, but on releasing the play button the sound file position jumps forward 40 seconds or so. FF and REW buttons work as expected.
