Cannot play audio files directly from IE 7.0

hello everyone,

I have just been "converted" to Express Scribe Transcription Player and I have already found a couple of issues.

The main one is that I cannot play ASF files directly from a webpage.

A couple of details to share:

1. ASF is setup under File Types to be opened by default with Express Scribe

2. I can open ASF file only if the webpage is pointing to the file stored locally (i.e. local hd)

3. If I try to open an ASF file from the webpage and pointing to another web location, I get Windows Media Player to kick in

4. I have managed to completely delete the ASF extension and re-added it pointing to Express Scribe. After I did that, and when trying to open a file on a webpage pointing to another webpage, I can only Save or Close.

5. If I try to save the ASF file directly from a website then the extension changes to ASX. I then need to change the Save Settings back to asf... How can I save an ASF file by default as ASF file?

Any ideas?

Thanks
