lynnk111@yahoo.com Posted November 20, 2008 Share Posted November 20, 2008 Just downloaded WavePad, and it's perfect for my limited needs (basic vocal recording, simple interface). I've upgraded to the most recent version. I've been running a Realtek A97 sound card right off my motherboard with a great sennheiser microphone, and while it gets the job done, I'm very interested in improving the sound quality. To that end, I've added a PreSonus Firebox external sound card that firewires right in to the computer. Strange problem, though: While I can record (I've changed the settings to specify the different input), and I can play back and hear my recording (albeit softly), I cannot see any traditional waveform. My input is set at midrange for my main level and mic input. I'm sure this is something basic; can anyone make a suggestion? I really appreciate the help!
