livember Posted November 1, 2008 Share Posted November 1, 2008 I just installed the free Wavepad, version 3.14, on my imac running OS 10.5.5 . I open an mp3 file that was created on my Zoom H2 recorder, play a bit and then pause. Now I can't do anything useful. The Edit menu is all gray except for undo/redo and insert silence/insert file. The File menu items Close File, Save File, and Save As are all grayed. (The playing/pausing is not essential; I did it to assure that I really had a valid music file.) I must have missed something really basic. Help gratefully accepted. Afterthought: I understand why File>Close and File>Save are grayed: the music file is derived from my mp3 file but not identical.
