worked on old computer but now won't work on new

I use WavePad to convert digital files to wav files for transcription purposes. This worked on my old computer and when I downloaded the program to my new computer and put in the editor ID, it will not work. I use the batch processor and at the last step when I click finish, it does nothing or jumps to the internet. What do I do.
