LENGTH OF TRANSFERRED AUDIO FILE

Hi Guys

 

I'm new to the forum - and new to the program,so apologies if I am raising a topic that has been raised before.

 

To cut a long story short I have a 250Mb speech audio file (single track) that is avalible to load onto WAVEPAD as WAV or MPEG3 or Win Media. When played through Win Media it is approx 17hours long!

 

The problem is when loading it onto WAVEPAD for editing (actually I want to cut large sections out) only the first 4 hrs approx will load up - and no matter what i try, I cannot get the other 14hrs approx, or the full 17hrs, to load up.

 

Anyopne have any idea whats going here??
