  1. Hi I am not very tech literate and find this stuff stressful 😞

I made a video and asked for help on this forum and received help (thankyou so much) and my problem got solved.  I had an exported ?MP4 and also a not yet exported version in videopad.  I tried to find the MP4 yesterday and I can't find it anywhere.  So now I am trying to play the unexported version in video pad but it wants me to resolve all these files.  I think I might have deleted the clips I loaded in, or maybe I didn't delete them, I don't remember.

When I open the project it wants to resolve all these missing files (its a shame I cant copy and paste the pop up). when I click "resolve" it asks me for a File Name (type it lists is "common media files") I don't understand why it asks me for a file name when I have clicked the "resolve" button for the file it wants to resolve.  I don't know the file name.

    Any ideas please?

    Thanks again

    Cathy

  2. Thanks Borate, so glad I can get your help with this.  I'm confused about why on earth it would be called LOSSLESS as I did not name it that.  Does it just get given a random name?  Cause now I wonder if that I sent you is my video...

  3. Hi borate I have tried to follow these instructions you posted above-

Someone here will solve the issue if you take a few minutes to share your project.   The process is easy, quick and can be done privately.  Just follow these steps...

    •     Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left.  Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER.  Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
    •     Upload ---  Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER.    Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file.
    •     Get link --- Get a public link.  If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view"
    •     Share ---     Click COPY LINK | DONE.  Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me.  It won't be shared.

              *    Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES.  Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

I think I've done it right until the 3rd bullet point. And I can't find the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to you.

I made a video and exported it on my Windows 10 laptop.  I saved this onto my external hard drive and connected it to my TV via a PS4 but it wont play 😞 Can you please help me???
