  1. The viewport's zooming functionality is very useful, however I find it tough to move around when I'm zoomed in. That is, if I zoom in to the left side of the image, then I need to zoom out and then back in on the right side to move to the right side. So a vertical/horizontal scrollbar would be great for that.

  2. So can I cut the tree out of the footage, place it in a higher track, and have the text under the track which the tree is in?

Is there a tool in VideoPad to automatically detect the tree and cut it out?

  3. The Rough Dissolve transition uses the exact same pattern for every use. For example, try getting 2 images. Then create a dissolve transition between them. Try memorizing the 'pattern' that the dissolve does - i.e., try seeing what specific parts of the second image appear first. Then scrap the entire project and do it again. The same parts of the second image show up first, which means that the exact same dissolve pattern is used over and over.

This kind of effect can be pseudorandomly generated, so i would like a simple parameter in the Transition Effects where I can adjust the seed to make it more random.

  4. VideoPad has some great effects and transitions, but they just aren't enough sometimes.

What I'm trying to do is getting some text behind a tree in a video. Like how some text would be placed in 3D and it would partially be covered as a tree branch passes over it.

  5. WEBP images are still pictures, but VideoPad recognizes them as very short videos, and this really messes up the effects that I've applied to the image. Temporarily I'm using Pixillion to convert the images to PNG, but WEBPs should be recognised as images, not videos.

By "messes up the effects" I mean that it does this really wierd thing where the image fades over itself and looks very very bright, almost blinding.

  6. There are lots of clips in my project, and I close and reopen VideoPad at night and in the morning, respectively.

However, it takes almost two hours for it to finish 'Finding Peak' when I open the project. Is it being loaded from cache or is something else happening? This is a huge waste of time, please help.

  7. My support expired and out of the 10 support tickets I have opened NCH has responded to not even one.

And I am completely sure that PhotoPad is failing due to its 32-bit nature. I cleared my cache, I reinstalled PhotoPad. What the heck, I even reinstalled Windows.

Still not working. Please add a 64-bit version for download at https://www.nchsoftware.com/download/photopadsetup64.exe (This file already exists on the website server, however it still installs the 32-bit verison)

  8. PhotoPad is supposedly running out of memory opening a 15,000x10,000px image, while I have almost 120GB of RAM free on my Windows machine.

And yes, I really do mean 120GB. This machine has 128GB of DDR5 RAM, and a decent Core i9 CPU. It is running a 64-bit version of Windows 11.
