I thank me for my help.

I have solved my own problem. Good thing I read these posts. Apparently if the track is armed for record it will not show a level on the Mixer Console. When unarmed for record then the play back level will show.

I just learned about the Mixer Console which is opened with View and then Mixer Console. It looks very useful with level controls for all my tracks with a mixer like approach. The part I don't under stand is the VU meters. Track 1 has audio on it. I can hear it. The tracks VU meter works within the multitrack of the program. On the Mixer Console the master lever works but on track 1 of the Mixer Console there is no level on the VU meter.

If it is minimal then maybe the input is too low. I work with an interface where I can crank up the level. My interface is a Focusrite. Not only does it have level controls but it also has an instrument setting which when switched off becomes a microphone setting. What is you set up? What kind of mic and if there is an interface then what is it? A condenser mic requires input voltage which is available on most interfaces and mixers but it has to be switched on.

I am having the same problem. I would like to piggy back on this post and wait for a solution. I see that there are two choices when I add multiple files at the same time. I have tried both and get the same result as augusvena.
