    Hi @Alpac,

    Please try the following:

    - Click Start and type Power Option
    - Click on the Change advanced power settings. A new Power Options window will launch
    - Find and expand the Processor Power Management option. Click on the Maximum processor state option and edit the values. It will be 100 percent by default
    - Change it to 80 percent for both the On Battery and Plugged in options
    - Click on the Apply button. Then click the OK button and exit the window. Now, your CPU will run at 80 percent of its capacity during peak loads.

    Thanks again.

On my Lenovo with Window10 which I use for work I don’t find the Processor Power Management option you are referring to but I do know which option you are talking about because I do find it on my other HP personal Laptop with Windows 11.  Anyway, here I what I did on my Lenovo . I clicked on the battery icon and moved the Power Mode slider from mid to best performance for when the laptop is plugged in and it looks like this little change did the trick. My Laptop is not sluggish anymore for now. It is obvious though that Debut is a high consumer application because I can see that, in the Windows Task Manager, the Power Usage of the Debut application shows “High” to “Very High” even when not recording.

    Hi @Alpac,

Please be aware that this ultimately depends on your hardware specifications, the faster RAM memory and CPU, the fewer resources it will require from the system.  Please try to limit Processor power:

    - Go to Control Panel.
    - Hardware and sound
    - Power options
    - Edit plan settings
    - Change advanced power settings
    - Processor power management
    - Maximum processor state and lower it to 80% or whatever you want. Using software that measure CPU temperatures like 'Speed fan' you will see that temperatures drop.

Thanks for your response. My new Laptop has Windows 10 and is a Lenovo T15, with 32gb memory and I7 11th gen processor so pretty powerful.  I followed your instructions but could not find the Processor power management option under "Edit advanced power settings". I did not experienced such a drop in laptop performances when I was running a previous version of Debut on my previous and older Lenovo Laptop.

  3. I noticed that the latest version of Debut v8.79 I installed on my new Lenovo T15 I7 slows down my laptop quite a bit. I use Debut to record my video calls on Microsoft Teams and the laptop becomes very sluggish as soon as I start Debut. Is there anything I can do to remediate this issue?

    Thanks
