Thanks for the input. I gave it a try and no dice. 

Everything looks fine inside the editor, but the silhouetted, animated butterflies (isq) aren't exporting. 

They did in my first few tries, but had a white box around them during the zoom/position effect. Now when I export either a movie or an image sequence, they aren't there at all. Very frustrating.

Latest version = yes.
