I have the same problem on my MacBook Pro. The internal optical drive doesn't work so I use an external USB optical drive to burn CDs. I actually have two of them from different manufacturers. Express Burn recognizes both drives but will not recognize when a blank CD is present. I have successfully burned discs on this computer with both of these drives. Ironically, I put a CD-R disc in the non-functioning internal drive and Express Burn recognized it. The internal drive is made by Matsushita, as is one of the USB drives. Will the instructions above work for a Mac? Obviously, I would need a different link since '...burnsetup.exe' is a Windows executable file. Thanks.
No Disc in Drive? hmmm
