This is all in Common time (4/4). Suppose I write the I-triad in C major: CEG, as 1/2 notes. Then I want to add a passing tone, like an F, as a quarter note, while the triad is held. The software needs to HOLD the triad, and then add the quarter note, while still keeping 4 quarter notes per measure. I need to figure out how to get the software to do that. Garry
