Sorry to be so long in replying - I just stumbled onto your reply, did not know I had one. I am still at about same place, been too busy with other stuff and am ready to start back into Wavepad. I would like for Wavepad to be able to record what ever I can hear in my headphones and haven't been able to do that.  I too am using a Mac. I am not sure what Mac preferences I need to select- choices  for sound are are:  " INPUT, External mMic, MMAudio Device, Soundflower (2ch)".......OUTPUT, Headphones, MMAudio Device, Soundflower, Multi-Output Device".

None of the tutorials for' basic get started with Wavepad' that I have found mention setting preferences so I am about to use the "hunt and peck" approach.

Hi - I, too am a brand new user of WavePad (version 10.16) with MAC (ver OS 10.15.3) and cannot get to 1st base with any of the WavePad tutorials  - (nothing will record) -  I presume that it is because I do not know how to set wavepad's audio, and recording preferences. Do you know where I can find a discussion of this?
