  1. Or rather video in video....

The problem with using the 'SCALE' effect is that unlike imovie which conveniently reduces the size of the entire video image to fit in the larger video, Videopad has the utterly bewildering feature of zooming into the image rather than actually scaling it to whatever size needed!

In other words, when you increase or decrease the size of the thumbnail video inside the larger video (via sliders or in the preview itself) it actually zooms into the image rather than simply reducing or increasing as is.

Hope what I'm talking about is clear...
Is there any way to actually just increase or decrease the size of the thumbnail video inside the main video without that annoying zoom effect?

    Thank you

  2. I have to say - I'm not enjoying this software as much so far as it's so fiddly!
I have the paid version updated to latest version.
The video tutorials do not show the same UI as the latest version but I understand it's hard to keep everything updated.
Anyway...can't get 'GLOW' effect or 'ZOOM' effect to work on my project?
    Using the Mac version.
Tried using typewriter effect but gave up because all the words totally crunched into each other and were unreadable immediately upon playing the clip.

Just tested 'waves', 'noise' & 'fisheye' and they work easily.
    What am I missing?

I'm used to another program which is extremely limited but quite easy to use - bought VP because I loved all the options it provides but it's one of the most frustrating and fiddly softwares I have used in a while :(
    Any help would be appreciated.
Please accept my apologies for my frustration right now as I have just wasted over 2 hrs. trying to add a simple glow effect to work...
Your video tutorials haven't helped so far either.

  3. Hi I want to have footage of my face as a 'faded & blended to the background' kind of thing inside a nature video.

    How do I do that?

I'm not looking for simple overlaying of one video into another.

This is more like eg. a mountain range footage with footage of my face kind of blended into the mountain range clip itself... Can this be done in Videopad?

    Ty
