Thank you for the split transaction help. I was able to accomplish that with a transaction that had different payees, but I am unable to apply a different category to a payee after a certain category has been assigned. I have to edit the payee name.

ALSO I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH A CLEAN RECONCILIATION.

I'm giving up on this software. I am very unhappy with how difficult it is to use!

Why can't I use different categories for one payee? I buy gas and groceries from a supermarket. If I choose gas for a transaction at the store, I can't use groceries for a separate transaction at the same store. Am I doing something wrong?

If anyone else is interested. You have to double click on the amount to edit it. then click "Add" to input another category. Figured that out by accident!

I found the split transaction function but can't find a way to edit the amounts. Frustrating!

Answered my own question. Just right click on the entry.

How do you unreconcile? I have the same problem.
