  1. This can be done.  There is an option to select number of rings and message according to business hours.  See option "auto-hours."  Set for 10 rings or so during business hours and should the receptionist not get to the call even after ten rings you use one selected message.  After hours set to 4 rings and use a different message.  For holidays you will have to manually change to a special Christmas vacation message or whatever.  All outgoing messages can be saved and simply reloaded.  You do not have to re-record every time.

Thank you for your reply. It is helpful. Mike :)

  2. I am considering purchasing IVM for a small dental practice. Our desire is to record multiple greeting messages and then select which one answers. More specifically these are the basic scenarios:

    1. Line 1 and 2 are busy during business hours. The greeting would state "We are helping patients. Please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.

    2. The office is closed. The greeting would state: " We are closed and will reopen on Thursday at 7:30 AM. Please leave a message and we call you when the office opens. If this is an emergency, Call Dr. William at XXX-XXX-XXXX."

The receptionist will select the appropriate greeting. We are attempting to avoid recording multiple messages every day.

Thank you all for your assistance. Mike

    :)
