Hi there,
I just installed the latest version of Express Scribe for Mac. It doesn't seem to recognise the F17 - F19 keys when setting up hot keys (F16 works). I see this issue cropped up in an earlier version of Express Dictate (see http://www.nch.com.au/express/versions.html). Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dawn
Hi, I'm having this exact same issue again with the latest version of Express Scribe for Mac (5.50) on OS X 10.8.1. I can't remember if I did something last time or it was fixed in an update. Any help much appreciated.
Regards,
Dawn

I've been using Express Scribe on the mac for a couple of years now. I only use MP3 files with it, and it seems to work okay. Whenever I'm sent a WAV, I'll use Switch (also by NCH - free version available) to convert it to MP3, and then load the MP3 into Express Scribe. Macs and WAV files have never been the best of friends it seems.

Express Scribe Pro not functioning well with MAC Maverick

I'm also experiencing problems with Express Scribe and Mavericks. It looks like there's a memory leak in Express Scribe (v 5.5. intel) with OS X 10.9, possibly related to the use of a foot pedal. It takes only an hour before Express Scribe is using over 1 GB of memory, and eventually it crashes. Any updates on this issue?
Edit: this is possibly resolved in the new beta version (5.63). Will test further.
Edit v2: seems to work okay after a couple of hours transcribing with foot pedal. Memory usage stable at about 20 MB.
