I replaced my pioneer and got a new LG DVD burner. I was able to burn the disc but when I tried to play it in my Sony DVD player, it got stuck in the "loading" phase and wouldn't play. So I threw the towel in and customer support refunded me for the new version (4.92).
I will continue to use the older version 4.37 and have never had a problem.
Thanks for your help

I installed the free version of Express Burn on my mac and used the superdrive to burn a DVD. I got this error:
Sense Data 05 24 00
Does anyone know what this means? I'd like to purchase the program but it has to work!
Thanks

I just purchased express burn 4.92. It burns a DVD fine and creates the VTS files, but I can't play it on my DVD player. The DVD gets stuck in the "loading" phase on the player. Is there some step I need to perform to get the disc to play?
Thanks,
Greg

I installed Express Burn on my mac and used the superdrive to burn a DVD. I got this error:
Sense Data 05 24 00
The superdrive is good because I used another program to successfully burn a DVD

I'm still getting the error, regardless of the speed I "burn" the disc
unknown scsi access error (SCSI? Really?)
sense data 02 04 07
The only thing that's changed to my PC was the update to Windows 10 last week

Hi Chris
So the default speed is the max, which is 16x. I lowered the burn speed to 12x and got a different error:
unknown scsi access error
sense data 02 04 07
The I tried Aimersoft DVD and it asked me to insert a writeable disc, like it didn't recognize something in the Pioneer.
Is it time just to get a new DVD burner?
Thanks

Hi,
I have been using my Pioneer DVR-X122 DVD burner since 2007. For most of that time I have been using Express burn. Lately however, I have been getting the following error whenever I try to burn a DVD:
Error with write address
Source file
sense data: 05 21 02
I am running windows 10 on my Dell laptop. I need to know if:
1- I should get a new DVD burner or
2 - I should try another burner program
There doesn't seen to be any firmware update for the Pioneer. As always, I use Memorex DVD-R discs
Thanks,
Greg

I have Express Burn version 4.37 and it has worked fine for burning WMV files. However when I try to burn an AVI file it gives me an "Error with Write Address" error message, sense data: 05 21 02. I have tried a couple of different size files and still get the same error message. My burner works fine for the WMV files I burn.
I'd like to know if there is something I can do to burn the AVI files. They are higher quality and larger than the WMV
Thanks

Here is what the customer support department said. I don't think I can update my superdrive firmware:
in the case of the Sense data code provided this means that the burner drive is misreading the allocated free space in the disk which ends up being less the free space that there really is. So if you are trying to burn a DVD to its max capacity the burning drive runs out of space to burn data. Please update the firmware of your drive, you may want to consult the manufacturer's user manual for the drive to get information about that.
