Hi again,
I need a little help please. I have been reading through the quick starts etc but need to be 100% on somethings
What card would I need for this:
- 1 phone line in
- Goes into the IVM (i think???)
- Then we have 10 internal phones that reception would route a call to which ever department they are ringing to speak to
- These phones would need to be able to ring out
I would also need possible auto attendant / voice mailbox / hold music etc
Many thanks
Joe

Hi,
I'm looking for a phone system software that has these features (if possible):
Call routingCall redirecting
Call recording
Welcome and Hold music
Voice over
Call assistant (Press 1 for venue press 2 for concerts etc etc)
The phones we use I think are analog as can be plugged straight into a phone line. I think how it works is that it goes into a computer into the server room then out of the computer into a Ethernet patch board which then patches into the phones around the site.
I am have no knowledge of phone system so please go easy on me but I want to learn quick as possible as the company we are using to do all the IT and Phone systems are rubbish!
Hope you can help
Many thanks
Joe
Need advice please
in IVM

Hi again,
I have found a bit more info
Basically the phone line/s come in on a "BT ASDH NTE 4u / 7a" the come out of that to a "ahpona Flash 8" which then goes out to the "ethernet" ports for each internal phone.
I was talking to the IT person that installed this but go lost as hes not great at explaining it straight! He said that I would need a gateway to go between the "BT ASDH NTE 4u / 7a" to convert it to a VOIP signal for it to work in IVM is this true? and that we would only need about 8 simultaneous outgoing calls at any one time.
Is this true (for the gateway part) would I need to also buy one of the recommend cards to use IVM or can i go straight out of the "BT ASDH NTE 4u / 7a" to the PC?
Hope someone can help as its driving me crazy!
Many thanks
Joe
