I have searched and searched. Have found the location for HourGuard and Express Accounts, both different! But nada on the search for Express Invoice Data
Reason I am moving platforms and want the data to come with me...!!

Yee Gads, I suspect folks are simply giving the pat answer that works for other NCH & Mac Apps. As has been written elsewhere in this Forum apparently there is No Help File
None has been written!
I just wish the folks at NCH would fix their web site so that people don't keep getting caught in the loop searching for it
These two statements don't get you anywhere with HourGuard Help File
See FAQ's on Web site
The Help manual, accessed from within the program
Not that one should complain for the price is certainly right, and the product works like a charm!!

I have found where the Hour Guard Files are stored on a Mac
HD/Users/"Username"/Library/Application Support/HourGuard/
In this folder are:
Options.dat
Tasks Folder
Accounts Folder
Timesheets Folder
However the Timesheets Folder holds a neat trap for the unwary, as the .csv timesheets are stored in another folder called "Username"
So if you copy the HourGuard data folder from one Mac to another with the same "Username" you are fine, but change the "Username" and the Timesheets will disappear from view
Simple Fix
Create a Folder with your new "Username" and copy your files into it. Delete old "Username" folder
It worked for me
As usual Close the Application before messing with its innards and Back Up all data before toying with it.

As written elsewhere No Help File has been developed for this package.
Where is the data stored on a Mac
in Express Invoice
Posted
Well I found the data the kind folks at NCH had placed Express Invoice files in the Shared Folder, I can't recall having made a Sharing Decision on install
Key Principle= Secure by Default, not Share by Default!!
Again, can't complain too much as for this part of the software it is free. However it leaves me less likely to upgrade if the security stance is not right on the Free part of the software.
So to recap
HD/Users/Shared/Library/Application Support/NCH Software
Moving to another platform appears to trigger a re-install so I suspect there is a Prefs file I haven't tracked down.
