  1. I just reinstalled my purchased IVM Answering Attendant because it did not appear to be working right. On registering with the codes provided it gives an error message that stops the registration. I am sure I entered the information correctly as I copied it directly from the e-mail provided by NCH.

I sent them an e-mail. I will let you know by report as soon as I get a reply

NCH recactivated my keys and I entered the same information and now the Attendant is running

  3. On checking further I found that the automatic OGM calls are going to the answering machine instead of the live caller. I am sure this is happening because on pickup of each call I hear the answering machine message.

At first I had the live call message for both leading me to think that IVM was working properly. With the IVM sensing an answering machine I am quite sure this is the reason the key response did not work. Therefore, it is possible that the key responce does work, I just need to IVM recognize my pickup and "hello" as a live person not an answering machine. All of my response settings are set to default. I can't find any reason to adjust the settings. Any ideas out there on how to get IVM to detect a live person?

I am answering on new Vtech phones, one is 900 MHZ the other is 24GHZ. I am operating Windows XP

Pro. My VOIP is Vonage with softphone for the IVM dialer. I am using the basic canned interactive program downloaded from NCH - press one for sales, 2 for . . . etc. and testing with my two USA phone numbers and dialing with softphone/ IVM. All IVM settings are default.

What kind of dtmf-encoding is supported by that phone? (INFO, in-band?)

How is the whole configuration? Are you calling IVM via Axon or from an outside line? If so, what kind of dtmf-encoding is supported by your provider?

    regards

    :)

Please check my post placed as a reply t my original post. It looks like the problem is not what I thought.

  4. I just bought the IVM Attendant. I'm using my Vonage Softphone as dialer and testing on my other Vonage VOIP lines. I am finding that all calls are going through as answering machine after I pick up the phone and say hello. I know this because the answering machine OGM is being heard instead of the live person pickup OGM. I'm using the default settings for detection. The only thing I can think of is to change settings and try after each change. Maybe there is an incoming volume adjustment that would help detection. I'll let you know as soon as I solve the problem.

  5. hi,

    We are testing ivm software.

    >> We can transfer calls through ivm free version but cannot detect answering machine..Infact every call is detected as answering machine..

    >> Kindly help with the settings so that once it detects answering machine properly, we can buy the enterprise version software immidiately.

    >Awaiting immidiate solution with settings..

    thanks in advance

  6. I loaded one of the canned key response programs and tried it out. I do not get a response on entering press 1 for sales, 2 for . . . etc. I'm using a new Vtech phone. Maybe I do not have the settings right. Any ideas?

  7. Hi,

I´m trying to register the IVM on a Intertex IX67 SIP switch,

however I allways receive the following error:

    400 Bad request.

in the IX67 log I can see the following message:

I'm using my ID pasword at Vonage.

The SoftPhone is installed and working perfectly. I have a new Voice Modem WINCOMM V 9.2 installed and it is installed as line 1 in IVM Attendant settings. It is one of the NCH approved compliant voice modems.

All the other features of the IVM Attendant seems to work. Any ideas?

  8. I'm working on building a small system setup with IVM Attendant Software for a small church. We have 4 phone lines (and really only need one to be used for IVM since the rest are transferred to).

With a small system, no high-powered server, and a limited budget, what are some of the better and less expensive ($75 or less) voice modems that we should look into? We can't spend $1500 on a telephony card, but neither do we need one. However, so far, my experience hasn't been good with the common-sold modems.

Some voice modems $75 and less that work:

    Jaton Wincom or Communicator $16

    Hayes Accura $60

    Creative $45

    Swann $30

I'm checking these out and have not decided yet on buying.

  10.

I checked with Vonage and they show the requirements for their Softphone. Accordingly, I Need a voice full duplex modem with a head set or USB connected phone. So, I answered my own question. I'll check to see if my Intel® modem is full duplex, etc.

  11. I'm on cable with Arris modem and Linksys RTP300 Router with two phones lines one for regular calls and one for fax - using Vonage service. PC has XP Pro. The NCH web site instructions say I should buy Vonage softphone service in order for NCH attendant to work. I want to be able to use the attendant for outbound calls (PC to land line) that leave a recorded message live or to an answering machine. Then, if the call resipient wants to leave a message or talk to a live person he can do so by dialing 1, hear the message again by dialing 2, and so on.

It is not clear how this works in practice. the NCH discription says "It connects - - - directly to a VOIP service". That sounds like I use my existing phone that is connected to the VOIP Router. However, in other sections it talks about voice modems. I have a Intel® 82801AA AC'97 audio controller. Do I connect a headset or special phone to this card to make it work? Do I need any other hardware or software to make this work for a simple 1 phone system?

I just want to have a better idea how this works what software hardware I need so I won't have the problems others are talking about on this forum.
