    Converting .avi to .mpg

    Hi, can anyone help with this problem please.

     

    I have purchased the latest version (1.2.8 for Mac OS X).

     

    Some files I convert from .avi to .mpg appear 'squashed' horizontally when I play them on my TV DVD player.

     

    Some files convert and play perfectly, others not.

     

    Any help would be much appreciated.
