  1. I see that NCH wants to charge me for the privilege of installing the latest incremental upgrade to the VRS recording system. i.e from 5.09 to 5.15. The question I have is: have they fixed the bug (that should have been fixed long ago) that stops VRS from working after Vista has been awakened from "Sleep" mode?

    I have the same problems as you have and I am using v 5.15 I also find that VRS will not record anything after a period of not being used even though computer stays ON. Have you noticed this?

  2. I checked with the developers again, it's on the todo list when the program is next updated. As people have suggested, simply restarting the service seems to fix the issue.

    Your post was a year ago and I still have the same problem as Wayne, the original poster of this topic, and additionally VRS stops working if left waiting to record whether manually or automatically after a random interval which can be between a few minutes to a couple of hours. The latest version (5.15) has not changed this problem. Restarting the programme always cures the situation untill the next time the fault occurs.

     

    This problem makes VRS completely unreliable as a recording system which is a great pity since it works so well when it does work.
