I just learned that Express Dictate supports encryption of preexisting wav files. Is it possible to demo this feature in advance of purchasing a Medical Legal User License? I just want to make sure it does what I need before I buy.
Thank you,

Express Dictate can import WAV files and allows you to send them as encrypted DCT files, which Express Scribe supports.
That is great news. I just read the Express Dictate manual and it says the use of encryption requires a Medical Legal User License. Is it possible to demo the encryption feature before purchasing the license?
Thank you,

My company would be willing to pay for the ability to encrypt preexisting wav files for use with Express Scribe. By that I mean, if we could convert an existing wav file to an encrypted wav or mp3 for use with Express Scribe.
Thank you.

I put this suggestion on the VRS Recording System board but I want to add it here too.

Encryption
in VRS
We would buy multiples of this software if it had the ability to encrypt preexisting wav files that I could then use with Express Scribe. Ideally, it would perform the encryption during a file conversion from wav to mp3, with the output an encrypted mp3.
Thanks.
How to encrypt preexisting files
in Express Dictate

How do I encrypt a preexisting .wav file and save as a .dct file?
How do I then play that encrypted file back in Express Scribe?
Unfortunately, how to execute that basic functionality is not represented in the manual.
Thank you.
