I just installed Wavepad on my new iMac, running 10.5

I'm working on an AIFF file of a song from a CD, but I can't save it. I get a message:

Error: unable to create file [my file name and location] for saving.

I can't save the AIFF file I'm working on. I get a message: error: unable to create file [my file name and location] for saving.

Any help will be much appreciated.
