  1. Hi,

I am trying to get this to work with my sip to autodial a list of phone calls and play a message. I have tried all different kinds of configuration settings for my telephony but the only way I can get it to work is that I must set my outbound server to the NUMBERTOCALL@SIP.MYPROVIDER.COM. Anything other than that the sip provider says address incomplete. I ran a packet sniffer and see that one line in the sip request is different, the REQUEST LINE INVITE does not have the PHONENUMBER@SIP.MYPROVIDER.COM, it just has SIP.MYPROVIDER.COM. The REQEST LINE changes to the correct format if I set for there to be no outbound server, but of course this is not a solution as it then wont make any calls.

Is there a way I can edit the outbound server on each call (like through scripting with PHP, JAVA, Command line or anything else)? Is there an alternative configuration I should try? I have also set-up a secondary sip with another provider and the same thing occurs. I can successfully make outgoing calls using a soft phone.

    My provider is Ring Central.

    Thanks. kathy clem at yahoo

We can get this working through a plugin. Please contact me to develop the plugin.

  2. Is it possible to configure IVR so that a person can dial in and remotely either change the initial greeting or add a preliminary greeting. For example, "We're sorry. Due to bad weather our offices will be closed today...."

    Hi,

This can be achieved through a Plugin. We can help you in this.

  3. Hi, Newbie unable exactly determine which programme I need. What follows is not quite the truth but is close enough for anyone who knows this system to answer.

I shall be running competitions for clients on voip telephone numbers

Contestants will need to respond by phone.

They will receive an outgoing message and will need to record their answer.

Therefore, each line will need an exclusive message, all the answers on that line need to be retained in one folder complete with the callers number retained along with his/her message.

All the answers need to be editable in Audition so the wav file is fine, dragged and dropped ok?

I need to handle at least 20 lines with separate messages and folders.

Although I don't think it will be necessary it is possible additional lines will be needed to handle multiple callers, and I suppose it would be best if all callers answers responding to the same competition would end up in the same folder regardless of which allocated line answered the call.

Do I need the recording software, or the answering attendant, or something else completely?

Finally, is there a trial version? I should have looked before coming here! Apologies all round, but $1000+ is enough if one discovers it won't do the job. Too late to say 'Oh but....'

    Thanks to all in advance.

    John

    Hi,

You will need an answering attendant like IVM. You will also require Plugins for IVM to handle switching questions and managing the answers and database. Perhaps a custom built front end application to review the answers will also do good. A trial version of IVM can be downloaded from http://www.nch.com.au/ivm/

  4. Hello,

I'm in the process of trying to do live testing my IVR setup with Callcentric as my SIP provider but I continually get "error 407: proxy authentication required." I have been working with Callcentric support on this but they are now asking me to contact NCH as all my settings conform to what they know of NCH product setup and are out of ideas for me. I have a static IP address and have tried every advanced setting on the "network" tab and still get the same result. I have opened up the necessary port ranges on my router and can't think of what else to look for. Any ideas as to a solution?

    Many Thanks!

    Hi,

In the Telephony settings -> callcentric line settings :

Sip Number -enter your callcentric phone number

    Password: callcentric password

    Server : callcentric.com

    Under Networking tab

    Uncheck Use UPnP

    Uncheck Use STUN

Check Use static IP and set your 'Public IP address' to your static IP

    Restart IVM

If this doesn't help goto http://www.whatismyip.com/ find your machine IP and use that in 'Public IP address'

  5. Im very confused with how this software works. One minute ivm will pick up and read the prompts, then 2 seconds go by and now it just rings for an eternity and wont answer.

    This is what log shows:

    Incoming SIP call
Ringing on Line 198 detected. Waiting until ring number 2.
VoIP Call Attendant 198 [Not Answered]

Ive double checked all my settings, deactivated after hours even though it just answered calls a second ago. Ive tried calling from multiple phone numbers and i get the same response in the log. Even tried dialing it direct from Express Talk BE and still get nothing but it ringing forever.

Anyone else run into this problem before? If so how might i fix this because our phone system is very vital, and having to resort to our standard voip answering machine is kind of making our customers upset.

Did you get any help for this? Do you still have this problem?

  6. I greatly appreciate your help Babu but I'm afraid I still don't understand the procedures your described. Perhaps it might help if I described the current OGM structure I have (even though it is incomplete):

    1. OGM 1 plays for all incoming calls and has users input their three digit extension followed by #.

    2. The key response at end of data entry determines which of the 20 mailboxes are addressed. At the "at # or 3 end" box I have it set to "Leave message for mailbox." Within that command option I also have it set to "play greeting", "use special mailbox menu (1,2,9)" and "use OGM menu for any other keys.

    3. OGM 2 plays a greeting that instructs users "to listen to your recording, press 2, to re-record your message press 1, to end the call press 9"

In the key response tab I have input 1 set to "leave message for mailbox. For input 9 I have set to "goodbye." So now my issue is I don't know what command to associate with input key 2.

Does any of this make sense to you so far?

    Thanks again for your consideration.

  7. Hi Neil,

Try these steps if you require just one mailbox:

    Create OGM1:

Under 'Message' tab set the 'Then' dropdown to 'Leave Message for Mailbox..' and select your mailbox name(Not default)

Note: The caller is not required to enter the extension number

Try these steps if you require more than one mailbox, with mailbox names set as phone extension numbers:

Create a new OGM say OGMWelcome. Under 'Message' tab set the 'Then' dropdown to 'Go to OGM...' OGMGetInput.

    Create OGMGetInput.

Under 'Key response' select 'Data entry'. Set variable name as 'boxNumber'. Set 'At End or #' to start OGMMailBox.

    Create OGMMailBox.

On completion 'Leave message in Mailbox' - Set the mailbox name as '%boxNumber%'

    Test your system

  8. Thanks so much Babu. That certainly helps a lot. With regard to problem 2, how would I set the name of the file to be played back, as I don't know what that file name would be yet?

    Thanks

    Rich

    Hi Rich,

Create a new wav file say mywav.wav at your desired location.

    Create OGM1

Set 'End of the Message' to 'Record Wav File..' and set the wav file to mywav.wav. Press the 'Key Response' tab. Press 1 'Go to OGM..' OGM2.

    Create OGM2:

Under 'Message' tab set 'Play external wav/Mp3 file' to mywav.wav

  9. Hi,

    Problem 1:

Lets say that you have 20 mailboxes named MyMailBox1, MyMailBox2... MyMailBox20.

Create a new OGM say OGMWelcome. Set the OGM to play your welcome message "Welcome to my company enter the your mail box number after the beep <BEEP>". After completion set to start OGMGetInput("Go to OGM...").

    Create OGMGetInput.

Under 'Key response' select 'Data entry'. Set variable name as 'boxNumber'. Set 'At End or #' to start OGMMailBox.

    Create OGMMailBox.

On completion 'Leave message in Mailbox' - Set the mailbox name as 'MyMailBox%boxNumber%'

    Test your system

    Problem 2

For this you will have to start another OGM configured to playback the file that has been recorded.

In the Record Wav File window, set the wav file into which you wish to record. Under 'After Autostop' select 'Go to OGM' and set the name of the OGM that will playback the wav file.
