Have a look in C:\Documents and Settings\[Windows Username]\Application Data\NCH Swift Sound\Express\Send\, the .dau is the audio file and the .ddf is the accompanying data file.

Oh, sorry... I should have specified this is for Express Dictate on the Mac.

Where are the sent files that are available for recovery stored? I'd like to back them up.
