Thanks for the time you are taking with this issue.
Later today I will start a new project from scratch, and if the problem persists I'll go through the procedure to send the project file to you.

I just did a short test project. 6 images, 4 text overlays and transitions between images. The problem persists.

OK, I found it. On my Mac, it is "preferences" instead of "options." So I cleared the cache, but that didn't help either.
But I wonder...is it OK to save these video projects to the location of my choosing, or does VideoPad have a default location where the projects are saved to, and should I be loading from that location?

This is version 11.77, on an iMac running Monterey 12.4
None of the files have been moved since I saved the project yesterday afternoon. I routinely use the "save as" giving each save a consecutive number (long habit.)
I don't see an "OPTIONS | DISC" tab.

I'm working on a project that consists of a series of still images with transitions and with text overlays. Whenever I try to load the project, I'm required to resolve the missing files. The project has been saved into the same folder as the image files.
What must I do? This is becoming bothersome as I add more images to the sequence.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I have set up a Google drive account, and uploaded the folder as instructed.
But I don't see anything on the Google Drive page that says "get link" or "get shareable link."

OK, got it, and the link has been sent to you.
