vst instruments won't install

Mixpad master edition.

EZDRUMMER 2 ALSO MTDRUMMER2 VST's won't install ! All I get is Mixpad does not support this type of file, Windows 10 latest version

Are you using the free (demo) version of Mixpad?  I could not get vst instruments to work with the free version at all.  After much digging and frustration, I finally found out (somewhere, not from NCH) that vst's won't work in the demo version, and are only functional with the purchased version.  This was not obvious or stated within the program - when it failed, it appeared as if it was a bad bug in the application.  Without being able to try out this feature, which is critical to my music, I decided to drop Mixpad as a possible DAW and continue looking and go with something else.  This is unfortunate because I like the user interface and other features of the software.
