Recording my voice over a music track

I want to record my voice over a music track (mixing), but I have no controls to lowering level of track (fade in/out) when I mixed and wanted. (The option -fade in/out- doesnt lower the level to the point I want.)

I also wondering if I can do it simultaneously. I mean record my voice on top of a bed of music track with control of the levels of recording volume.

I know how to record my voice and a music track separately, but the problem is fade in/out the bed of music when mixing with my voice. I have tried everything and I got my small brains tired. Thanks
