Needed to quickly download a simple FTP client for a website I manage. I had the same problem several others have reported here. Uploading directories with many files in them would cause the connection to drop. Downloaded FileZilla as an alternate and everything worked fine. As is, this software has a major problem and I don't have time to figure out what it is. Software uninstalled and I have moved on.
