Please, someone respond, anyone!!

I am new to Switch, so please forgive me if this is a simple question or if it has been covered in another thread. I searched for an answer for my question before posting. The vast majority of my audio files are in wav and I use itunes. I want to convert my files to mp3, but when I do, I lose all my tagged info (artist, album, etc...). I understand that wav does not have such info embedded into the file. However, I saw on the FAQ page that converting from wav to mp3 with Switch will preserve the tag info. Did I misunderstand? If not, what am I doing wrong?
