I'm on Tiger. If things like the Load button and Preferences Window are not coming up then you have a permissions problem. Open your harddrive Icon and go to the Users Folder. Then open the Shared Folder in there, you will find a folder named Scribe. Get Info on the Scribe Folder folder and open the Ownership & Permissions > Details section From the Others Popup Menu select Read and Write Then Click the "Apply to enclosed items..." Button Enter your Password Now your Express Scribe should work as expected.
