Kaspersky Antivirus and Switch

Hi

 

I just installed Switch. But Kaspersky Antivirus 2009 tells me the N1S.exe which is included in Switch, has trojan inside

I deinstalled Switch after that and searched in google about N1S.exe. There are some few sites where are some descriptions about

it and they write as I understood that NCH Software has something to do with that:

So, is there really a trojan inside?? Does somebody know something about that?

Hi,

we have seen that as well, we guarentee there is no trojan inside.

We thought about contacting them but after some discussion we agree that it says the file is being reviewed, along with some of our other products that also contain that file. They do not say there is any kind of virus inside. Once they work it out they will remove the warning.

 

Nice tactic though, they review a legit installer to get sales *shrug*

 

NCH has been a reputable company for years, and we arent in the market to change that.

So after some thought I did contact them and told them to sort it out immediately

Wow these people took their time!

If you check the page now it says 'The filename N1S.EXE is used by objects that are classified as safe. It has not yet been seen to be associated with malicious software.'
