I'm new to audio conversion, so your patience is appreciated. I need to get a song on my home video movie. My video editing software only accepts wav, mp3,and avi audio files. I downloaded the song from iTunes (downloads in m4p format) and it, of course, did not work with my editing software. I then downloaded the song from another site and it downloaded in wma format. I have since downloaded a long series of converters and each time I get an error that the files are protected... even though the iTunes site says it can be converted. The wma file says that is it DRM Protected Audio. Is it useless to keep trying to convert these files? Except for buying an entire album for one song, how do I get a song downloaded and, if necessary, converted to wav, mp3, or avi audio format?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
