Compatibility with Polycom, Cisco, Aastra, Grandstream

Good Morning.

We are new to this forum and cannot locate an email address for pre-sale support. (Even the

Important Note, which indicates that it's giving an email adress, shows a URL back to a

support page.)

Does anyone know which SIP telephone models are tested and compatible with the

software ?

The Linksys (a/ka/ Sipura) phones are not the best ones in the USA and Canada marketplace

and their availability is restricted by some crazy policies. When customers think VOIP telephony,

they invariably have a picture of a Polycom or Cisco phone in their mind.

And, having unsupported products is not helpful to anyone -- the user, the reseller or the manufacturer.

Thank you

Well the Linksys SPA941 is the only phone NCH specifically recommends here: http://www.nch.com.au/hardware/ipphones.html

I would say that pretty much any SIP based IP phone will be compatible. Just remember though that Axon won't support all the features that your phone may have buttons for. For example, Axon provides no built-in call parking system. So what I mean to say is, you should be safe with most SIP telephony hardware (so long as it supports standard codecs like G.711 ulaw/alaw or GSM), just keep in mind that many high quality SIP phones will probably have some additional features like Shared Line appearance or visual voice mail that won't be able to function with Axon.

P.S. This post suggests Polycom phones work fine: http://nch.invisionzone.com/index.php?s=&a...ost&p=13025
