Jason Zhang Posted November 25 Posted November 25 I started using Prism a long time ago. I still remember the days when I used version 5.0. I recently updated to v11.15, and was about to extract some audio from mp4 files, but I'm running into this problem. See in the clips: Prism Always loading when extracting mp3 from mp4 Just so I thought the problem was solved after hearing the conversion was completed, The length of the mp3 is 12 HOURS Can someone help? Thanks a bunch
borate Posted November 30 Posted November 30 What's the size of the mp4 source file? Is it too large to be uploaded a free file sharing server? If not, link the file here for testing.
Jason Zhang Posted December 3 Author Posted December 3 The mp4 source file is 8.99MB, I don't think that's something that can be called "too large." I certainly hope I'm not wrong. But here's the Google Drive link to the file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kXyk7fH3HiTmjNQybXIcU6HSIsJvl54I/view?usp=sharing Thanks
borate Posted December 3 Posted December 3 Though it plays in a viewer, the file appears to be Dash streaming encoded, which doesn't sit well with Videopad - no audio, or another editor - no video. Re-encoding it with this free utility solved those issues, and it should work in Prism as well. There are numerous ways to extract the audio.
Jason Zhang Posted Saturday at 09:01 PM Author Posted Saturday at 09:01 PM Thanks a bunch, didn't know these hidden encoded stuff would mess with Prism, will use the free utility from now on.
