Vals Sweet Kitchen
I finished editing my project 45 minutes ago and ran out of RAM. I have more arriving Monday. I emptied everything out and deleted unused files. I went to open my project and get the error message The file provided is not a valid VideoPad Project file. borate
Considering that the PC apparently had a problem, it's conceivable that the VPJ save file was corrupted. Look for another in this path... C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\VideoPad\autosave.vpj. If that doesn't succeed, do a PC search for VPJ and click on the most recent find. You may have to do some rebuilding, but the project state when saved will be restored. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, the AS choice is available by clicking the caret to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. That way you're protected, and shouldn't lose anything.

borate
Just do a search for .VPJ. If you have saved routinely that should discover many VPJ files. The most recent will be your best bet.
Vals Sweet Kitchen
Recovered it! Yes, I save all the time and the last version is complete! Oh, three day's work! Recouped! Bless you! It must have been running out of ram, which Dell is sending two more sticks to arrive on Monday.
