I've read that there is a 64 bit version but I can't find it. Then I see very suspicious wording, 'Yes! runs on a 64 bit machine.' That is not the same!

Can anyone tell me if it's truly 64 bit and where I can find it.

Thanks - rev

MixPad runs on a 32-bit or 64-bit computer. However, if you try to install a 64-bit VST plugin, it will not be recognized. It will only accept 32-bit VST plugins.

Chiqui: Thanks, that's really what I wanted to know. That rules it out for me because almost all my plugs are 64 bit. I was looking for a replacement for Sonar 8.5.2 because it's no longer supported but it was so far ahead of its time that it's still the best in my opinion.

It sounds like you're looking for a genuine 64-bit version of a software, but you've come across some vague or unclear descriptions. The phrase "Yes! Runs on a 64-bit machine" can definitely be misleading, as it just means the software is compatible with a 64-bit system, not necessarily that it's a true 64-bit version. A genuine 64-bit version is one that's specifically built to utilize the extra memory and processing power of a 64-bit system, and it should usually be listed separately or indicated clearly by the developer.

To figure out if the 64-bit version is available, your best bet is to check the official website or any related forums for more details. Often, the software’s official site will have the most up-to-date information, and sometimes developers will list the architecture of the available downloads there. If it's still unclear, you could reach out to the software's support team to ask directly whether a 64-bit version exists and where you can find it.

Also, reviewing the system requirements on the software's page might help you find out if a 64-bit version is available, as these specs often indicate the type of architecture the software is built for. Just make sure you’re looking at the latest version of the software, as 64-bit versions have become more common in recent years.
