cn3boj00
If I rip a CD directly to .mp3 and try to play with Windows media player an error message comes up and player doesn't play. If I opy the same CD to .wma and then convert with switch to .mp3 (same parameters) no problem, the player plays. Has anyone an idea?
Greenman
I am having the same problem. When a CD is ripped to mp3 the file will not play in Windows Media Player V9 or V10 with the latest updates. It comes up with this message: "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is either corrupt or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play." However the file plays fine in Real Player. I have tried various different settings but they are all the same. If ripped to wma then converted it plays fine. Any thoughts?
Guest nchto
We are now aware of this issue and the developers are sorting through it now. If you remove the ID3v2 tags, the files are playable in Windows Media Player. Check http://nch.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=7544 for more information. wavp369
Until there is a software update STAMP appears to work as follows: Install Stamp - its free. Run stamp Add all files from an album Select all files added STAMP Exit stamp MP3s now appear to have the same stamp but one that Windows Media Player accepts.
