Wilson Posted May 22, 2005 Share Posted May 22, 2005 I decided to try IVM as an answering machine solution, but it even answers calls that I have already answered myself. I use a PCI SoftV92 Voice/Fax/Data modem in Canada. No call display or call waiting. Windows XP, IVM version 2.31 (I don't know if this is the latest as the download page doesn't give a version number). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Try setting (under Settings, General) the number of rings before it answers(Answer calls after a fixed number of rings). Set this value higher than how many rings you wish to have the chance to answer it. Otherwise if the given number of ring happens IVM will always answer.
