After reading this site - downloading and testing IVM - we ended up purchasing the USB voice modem TELCTAUSB2 (the model number on the modem is SHT-2B/USB) - it was purchase directly

through AltoEdge. (recommend on this page : http://www.nch.com.au/hardware/telephony.html - the model is listed as TELCTAUSB2

We also purchased IVM.

Well the modem got here today - but there are no drivers - doing a search didnt reveal any either. Emails to the company have not come back yet - and figured Id check here as well.

Does anyone know where I can download them from???

Thanks

_Rob

You can download the latest version of the driver here: http://www.synway.net/support_Driver.asp

As noted by NCH here: http://www.nch.com.au/hardware/setup/telephony/cahta.html (SHT Series)

Thanks - I got it to work on my laptop - but cannot get it on my main PC.

The main PC runs vista (ugh - I know) it seems like the drivers are not made for it - can anyone offer any help??

Rob, I purchased the same SHT-2B/USB from alto edge. I went to manufactures web site to find the correct driver. Everything I did failed. I got the email below from the manufacturer last Thursday. I then downloaded the correct driver and it works perfect.

It is Sophia from Synway technical support.

Regarding the problem with USB board instillation, I would appreciate if you could provide me with the following information.

1. Which country and company you are in, and who/where you purchased the

board from?

2. Which driver version you have used to install your board?

3. Which operating system you install this board on?

If you install the board on operating system Vista, Please check out the ‘ Memo of USB installation under Vista’ under ShCti 4.7.3.1.1 at http://www.synway.net/support/Driver_download.asp

If the operating system is not Vista, follow the steps below.

1. Shut down the computer

2. Plug the board to another USB slot properly.

3. Start your computer

4. Uninstall the Synway driver

5. Re-install the driver (if you have just purchased the board, you can also obtain the Synway driver from above link for latest version

ShCti4.7.3.1.1 (for PCI).

If the board is still unable to be installed after you have done above installation. I also can provide you with on site help. For easy and instant communication, I am wondering if you have a hotmail live messenger.

If you have it, please add me in or give me your hotmail address.

I look forward to hearing from you.
