IVM Answering Calls

rcgw2002

Recommended Posts

The IVM program plays the greeting, and when it gets to the end, it hangs up. It does not prompt with a tone or records anything. I have ran through all of the suggested settings from NCH, and nothing is working.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Does it work correctly using the Call simulator? It is likely an OGM/mailbox configuration issue.

Yes it does, but when running it through the live setup it fails. I can call the number, here the message and at the end it hangs up. No tone for leaving a message, nothing.

What telephony device are you using? Are you using hardware or software end of call detection? Try creating an OGM directly to record audio and see if this picks up anything.

The telephone device is the AOpen FM56-PLM, and the selection is Hardware - END OF CALL TONE DETECTION PLAYBACK.

Not sure what you are asking on the last question? Do you mean to say create a new OGM and then test it to see if it will pick up?

Okay, first try using software end of call detection (if you are already using the hardware option) and see if that works. If not, make a new OGM to play a message and then in the end of message section select "record wav file" and see if you're able to record anything.

Sorry it took so long in getting back to you on this, been busy. I tested the software end detection with no luck. I recorded a message with no problems.

I am kind of stumped on where the issue may be.
