IVM Always Hangs Up

Hopefully someone can help me out here.

I've got a simple IVM install with a Dialogic D/41H card & Windows 2000 Pro. The card seems to work ok, as the software recognizes it (and I can use the Dialogic TAPI test app), plus the caller ID info is reported, but when the call is answered, the software logs that "Line 1 Answered", then that it will play my message file, then 1 second later the call is disconnected.

It does this every time. Hopefully there is just a setting on the card or in the software that can fix this. Please help! Thanks!

Nobody with a suggestion? I've tried just about everything I can think of or find and I can't come up with anything. Thanks!

Chris, Can you please post your IVM logs after a failed call. The logs often give a very good clue as to what the problem could be.

Sorry for the long wait, I'm just now getting back to this project. Here is a log of a single call made with the default answering machine program loaded:

10:00:54 Line 1 Unavailable [Answered]

10:00:55 Answered line [1 "Line 1"] call number [1] cid [unavailable] did[0000] drn[0 (6009ms)]

10:00:55 Play file: C:\Program Files\NCH Swift Sound\IVM\OGMs\Default Answering Message.wav

10:00:55 Command - Leave Message

10:00:55 Leave message for mailbox:Default

10:00:55 Play system prompt: RecordTone

10:00:55 Recording File: C:\Program Files\NCH Swift Sound\IVM\MailBoxes\Default ICM000002.wav

10:00:57 Recorded message discarded because it was too short

10:00:57 Call disconnected

Let me know if anything else is required. Thanks!

I am experiencing the same problem,

I'm using a GVC 33.6K External, Voice, Speakerphone Modem PnP

IVM Answering Attendant v 2.43

Running on a Windows XP Professional box

I'm not exactly sure WHEN the problems started, we've been running with the system for something like 6 months, then sometime last week, we got user reports, that the system disconnected there phonecalls.

Here is the logs;

13:40:17 Line 1 Unknown [Answered]

13:40:20 Answered line [1 "Line 1"] call number [65] cid [unknown] did[] drn[1 (0ms)]

13:40:20 Play file: C:\Program Files\NCH Swift Sound\IVM\OGMs\Start 1.wav

13:40:21 Command - Go

13:40:21 Open OGM: Start 2

13:40:21 Play file: C:\Program Files\NCH Swift Sound\IVM\OGMs\Start 2.wav

13:40:24 Command - Go

13:40:24 Open OGM: Start

13:40:24 Play file: C:\Program Files\NCH Swift Sound\IVM\OGMs\Start.wav

13:40:26 Call disconnected

I hear no audio, as if the wav files doesn't even get played.

Using the built in Simulator, it reports the exact same thing, however, I do hear the audiofiles being played;

13:42:02 Line 1 5555555555 [Answered]

13:42:02 Answered line [1 "Line 1"] call number [66] cid [5555555555] did[] drn[0 (0ms)]

13:42:02 Play file: C:\Program Files\NCH Swift Sound\IVM\OGMs\Start 1.wav

13:42:03 Command - Go

13:42:03 Open OGM: Start 2

13:42:03 Play file: C:\Program Files\NCH Swift Sound\IVM\OGMs\Start 2.wav

13:42:06 Command - Go

13:42:06 Open OGM: Start

13:42:06 Play file: C:\Program Files\NCH Swift Sound\IVM\OGMs\Start.wav

13:42:06 Call disconnected

Here's the Report for Start

Start

+ Press #: Go to OGM CHECK CODE.

+ Press *: Repeat OGM.25s.2 times.

> Hangup

Any ideas?

tia,

Anders.

Problem solved. Well, atleast MY problem ..

After browsing the forums some more, I stumbled across this post, where he explains that using RDC for administrating the box where IVM is on, sets the setting to answer line 1 with nothing.

I did a quick test, where I simply rebooted the box, and it worked.

Reconnecting via RDC reintroduced the problem.

Any chance you could fix a patch for this issue, as I really need to be able to RDC the machine everynow and then.

Anders.

This is the exact same problem I have. This machine is a win2000 machine dedicated to this purpose and has no other software installed. I do not use RDC and have never tried on this machine. I'm at a loss what to do next. The log files show no clue what's up. Can anyone here address this?

PS. I'm using a Dialogic D/4PCI and it passes all it's diagnostic tests and the demo software that comes with the Dialogic install works as billed.

One more thing. The call simulator works fine. This problem is script independent as the error also happens with sample scripts downloaded from the website.
