Sound Not working

i load my mp3 songs on to wavepad and i press play to hear the song but i hear no sound. Wavepad still shows me that i am playing the song and the bar gradually moves along as well as the seconds counting up but no matter what i do i cant hear the sound. plz help me. i need this program to work for school.

do you get any sound through your computer at all? maybe the volume control in windows is not turned up enough to hear the sound? you can access the volume control through the system tray in the bottom right.

 

are you running many programs at once that are all playing sounds? that sometimes can be a problem.
